Be assured that you are not alone. More than 79% of adults over the age of 40 experience some form of gum disease. There is access to ready dental health relief through the links on this blog. I’m happy to pass my discoveries on to you.
Here’s my personal story about the pain and discomfort of Gum Disease:
In late November 2006 I awoke to excruciating pain in my lower left jaw. It was severe and frightening. It felt as though I was being stabbed at the gum line. Rushing to the medicine cabinet mirror with flashlight in hand, I was shocked to see the affected area in my mouth. There were three lower molars exposed. The root of each molar was visible. A sensation of cold air in the small exposed crevices occurred whenever I opened my mouth. This air flow exacerbated the stabbing pain. It was no fun at all.
Having to battle this issue with no health insurance and limited income due to a recent financial debacle, I turned to the valuable free information source of the internet. My mind and persistence to research became the best weapons against this common affliction.
It was time to head over to the Google search engine and type in “gum disease”. What came up introduced me to the ‘wonderful world’ of periodontal problems and gingivitis. It was my baptism of fire; a rude introduction to the cause of my stabbing, pulsing pain! The symptoms outlined reflected my exact condition. BINGO! The verdict was in. I had periodontal disease without a doubt. I could’ve been made poster boy.
The fear of wondering what was occurring with my dental health was accompanied by the worry of the inevitable pending dental bill necessary to correct this. One thing was for sure, I needed to solve this now. There was no option.
In addition to the worry and discomfort, I was wondering what the heck had happened to my gum line and why. What was this all about? How did my dental health deteriorate so quickly? I’ve always brushed, flossed and thought that I had a good handle on keeping my mouth clean and healthy. Reading on, I found that it was very common for 80% of adults over 40. I just turned 54.
For certain, I had the common dental work done over the years with routine cavities and fillings. But what I observed in the gum line was a whole other phenomena that I never experienced before; receding, red, painful gums.
After poking around the web and getting the basics of the disorder, I quickly clicked to searching for a cure to this condition. I found several products that claimed to greatly alleviate pain while healing the gum line over time. Being very pressed for cash and lacking proper health insurance, it was not hard to sort out my options. I had to find something fast and affordable.
I’m a skeptic by nature. One of the unfortunate facts of the web is that anyone can claim anything about their product or service. Also, I’m not crazy about making purchases over the internet. However, there was an emergency that had to be addressed.
I came across several sites to products with gum disease as the principle target. Reading several high endorsements for ORAmd, I pulled out the plastic and went ahead with a purchase.
My skepticism was relieved somewhat by the gentleman who took my call and filled the order. (Yes, they have a toll free number to expedite your order. You do not have to use your credit card and an internet ’secure’ form. Choice is a good thing.) He was quick, efficient and said he used the product himself. He also promised that I would receive my order within two days and reiterated the full money back guarantee.
I was feeling better already.
The package with the small bottles of ORAmd arrived within two days as promised. With simple brushing there was immediate relief. It was amazing.
Replacing common brand toothpaste with ORAmd was a bit of an adjustment. Only 3 drops are necessary on a soft bristled toothbrush. ORAmd does not foam like regular toothpaste. There is a powerful mint taste. The ingredients kill 22 forms of bacteria that cause plaque and other irritants specific to causing gingivitis and periodontal symptoms. These dangerous germs fester at the gum line. Getting rid of these germs directly at the gum line is key to the healing process.
Healing: I know that one needs to be very careful when using the “H” word. For example, if someone says that they have a cure for cancer, of course, the immediate opinion from the medical community is “Quack & Fraud”. It needs to be proven without a doubt. That’s a good thing. There is also snobbery and prejudice. That’s a bad thing. Being an average Joe with no medical training, all that I can tell you about is personal results using ORAmd.
Pain relief was immediate. Over the next month, the receding gums started to close up and return to normal. They are not 100% but I’m happy. It’s well under control. For certain, I will be using this product for a very long time.
It should be stated that ORAmd does not replace the dentist. That would be a foolish and irresponsible statement. Unfortunately, some people may think so. Using ORAmd with routine dental care is the way to go. I’ll be bold and say that ORAmd combined with your dentist will bring a life of healthy, happy teeth at any age.
Regarding age, my 13 year old son is using it daily. The prevention factor by using this great product will assist him to have a healthy dental future. It’s for everyone. It’s so much better than any name brand tooth paste that I’ve used. It’s all natural with no flouride.
One more thing. Here is the obvious diet and habit caveat. Be very careful with alcohol, tobacco and sugary foods. The obvious things that you’ve known about for years. These substances greatly increase the possibility of periodontal disease. All are brutal to gum health. Of course, if you need to use these substances, brush immediately afterwards and stay true to the 6 month checkup.
